MARCHE BETWEEN CASTLES AND FORTRESSES

Arrival of the group in Corinaldo and beginning of the guided tour. The town preserves its walls with doors, devices for drawbridges, towers, patrol walkways and plumbing that demonstrate stories of wars, long sieges and destruction. Then we will visit Mondavio, whose main attraction is the fortress that at the end of the fifteenth century was commissioned by Giovanni della Rovere. Inside we have the possibility to visit an exhibition of weapons of the sixteenth century. Are also interesting the reproductions of the siege and defense instruments exposed in the ancient moat. At the end, departure of the group and arrival in Fabriano, accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel and guided tour of the historic centre starting from Duomo (rebuilt in 1617 and dedicated to San Venanzio), Teatro Gentile, Oratorio della Carità, Sant’Onofrio and the Crypt of San Romualdo. The group will move then to Paper and Watermark Museum, where the historical phases of handmade paper are illustrated, it is an art that has lasted here for seven centuries.
